USING RENEWABLE SOURCES

Image
SDG 13 is about climate action. It aims to take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts. I live in Malaysia, and I am worried about the future of our planet. I see the effects of climate change all around me, and I know that we need to do something to stop it. One way that we can help is by using renewable sources of energy. Renewable sources of energy are energy sources that can be replaced over time. They do not produce greenhouse gases, which contribute to climate change. Some examples of renewable sources of energy are solar power, wind power, and hydroelectric power. Malaysia has a lot of potential for renewable energy. We have a lot of sunshine, which makes us ideal for solar power. We also have a lot of wind, which makes us ideal for wind power. And we have a lot of rivers, which makes us ideal for hydroelectric power. The Malaysian government has taken some steps to promote renewable energy. They have set a target of generating 20% of our electricity from renewab...

JOB OPPORTUNITY FOR PEOPLE IN POVERTY

Sustainable Development Goal 10 (SDG 10) is about reduced inequality within and among countries. I believe that I am not the only one who has experienced poverty in Malaysia. There are many people who are struggling to make ends meet. This is a big problem, because it affects the community in many ways. When people are poor, they are more likely to be sick. They may not be able to afford to see a doctor, and they may not have access to healthy food. This can lead to long-term health problems, which can make it even harder for people to get out of poverty. Poverty can also lead to crime. When people are desperate, they may turn to crime to make money. This can create a dangerous environment for everyone in the community. There are some actions being made to improve the chance of poor people to get a decent paying job. The government has started to provide training programs for people who are unemployed. These programs can help people to learn new skills, which can make them more marketa...

UNORGANIZED WASTE DISPOSAL

Image
The main goal of SDG 12 is to ensure responsible and efficient consumption of resources and sustainable means of production.     I was born and raised in Malaysia for the last 21 years and i realized that actions must be taken to overcome the problem of unmanaged waste disposal. This problem is somehow overwhelming that I am concerned on how certain people don't even care about their surroundings and tend to turn a blind eye to the situation.          Waste disposal itself means recycling, removing or destroying unwanted material called waste that is produced from agriculture, domestic usage or industrial products. Malaysia alone disposes more than 30,000 tons of municipal solid waste (MSW) every single day that equals to 1.17 kg per capita. The most significant component of MSW is food waste and followed by plastics, papers, and mixed organic.         I believe this problem stems from few major factors such ...
