JOB OPPORTUNITY FOR PEOPLE IN POVERTY
Sustainable Development Goal 10 (SDG 10) is about reduced inequality within and among countries.
I believe that I am not the only one who has experienced poverty in Malaysia. There are many people who are struggling to make ends meet. This is a big problem, because it affects the community in many ways.
When people are poor, they are more likely to be sick. They may not be able to afford to see a doctor, and they may not have access to healthy food. This can lead to long-term health problems, which can make it even harder for people to get out of poverty.
Poverty can also lead to crime. When people are desperate, they may turn to crime to make money. This can create a dangerous environment for everyone in the community.
There are some actions being made to improve the chance of poor people to get a decent paying job. The government has started to provide training programs for people who are unemployed. These programs can help people to learn new skills, which can make them more marketable to employers.
The government has also started to provide financial assistance to poor families. This can help families to meet their basic needs, such as food and housing.
These actions are making a difference, but there is still more that needs to be done. We need to continue to invest in education and training for poor people. We also need to create more jobs that pay a living wage. By doing these things, we can help to reduce poverty and create a more just and prosperous society for everyone.
Here are some specific solutions that can be implemented to improve the job opportunities for poor people in Malaysia:
- Provide more training and education opportunities: The government can provide more training and education opportunities for poor people, so that they can develop the skills they need to get good jobs.
- Create more jobs that pay a living wage: The government can create more jobs that pay a living wage, so that poor people can earn enough money to support themselves and their families.
- Provide financial assistance to poor families: The government can provide financial assistance to poor families, so that they can meet their basic needs, such as food and housing.
By implementing these solutions, we can make progress towards a more just and prosperous society for everyone.
